Description

Your private excursion to Krka Waterfalls National Park and the old town of Split starts with a pick up from Zadar.
Relax on a comfortable drive to Split – old town. A licensed guide is going to take you on a walking tour of the Diocletian`s palace. Your sightseeing tour will start through well preserved cellars of the palace and lead you to Peristyle – a monumental court, which formed the northern access to the imperial apartments. It also gave access to Diocletian’s mausoleum on the east (now Cathedral of St. Domnius- one of the oldest cathedrals in the world), and to the temple on the west (the former temple of Jupiter which is now used as a baptistery).  You will walk through a historical narrow street to the famous Golden Gate and the big statue from Grgur Ninski. On this walking tour you will get to know the old town of Split and its history in an interesting way. You will have the opportunity to enjoy your leisure time along Split’s well known waterfront and go on a shopping spree for some typical suvenirs.
After the visit to Split, enjoy a pleasant and comfortable ride to discover one of the most popular national parks in Croatia. With its seven waterfalls and a total drop in altitude of 242 m, Krka is a natural and karst phenomenon. Upon arrival your tour guide will suite the tour itinerary to your wishes and needs. Skradinski Buk is one of the must-sees.
It’s a voluminous pool of steps and ledges that create waterfalls and cascades. The largest of the lot plunges down a 45-metre drop. Walk across a network of wooden paths and visit authentic small watermills and museums to learn more about the lifestyle and customs of the locals. Spend time at leisure in the park, and possibly grab lunch in a typical Dalmatian konoba (tavern) before returning to Zadar.
